Dottie Lipski

Artist/Painter/Graphic Designer

Dottie Lipski is a graphic designer born and raised in Michigan.  She moved to NYC in 1981 to further her career and ultimately worked in the fashion business for over two decades.  In 2016 she began studying at The New York School of Interior Design (NYSID) and was awarded a Certificate with Honors in Basic Interior Design. 
While attending NYSID, Dottie began her pursuit of painting classes at The Art Students League of New York.  She so enjoyed this new endeavor that she became a member of The League, and over her time there has developed her unique abstract painting style. Dottie’s unique mix of graphic and interior design backgrounds fuels her passion for colors and textures.  The mixed-media paintings you are enjoying are made uniquely rich in detail with their repurposed textiles and acrylic.  The tapestry of textiles creates sweeping movements that intertwine into fascinating organic forms that capture nature’s own beauty.
